In addition to her advocacy work, Davis was a prolific author, using her writing to shed light on the plight of animals in factory farming and promote veganism.

Her notable works, including “Prisoned Chickens, Poisoned Eggs: An Inside Look at the Modern Poultry Industry” (1997) and “The Holocaust and the Henmaid’s Tale: A Case for Comparing Atrocities” (2005), provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by domestic fowl and the ethical concerns surrounding their treatment.

Furthermore, Davis’s dedication to spreading awareness extended to her foreword for Michael Lanfield’s book, “The Interconnectedness of Life,” published on December 6, 2014.

Davis passed away at the UPC sanctuary on November 4, 2023, at the age of 79.
