Former baseball coach Frank Howard played basketball and baseball during his college days at Ohio State University.

He was an All-American in both games from 1956 to 1958.

Howard stood at 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) tall. Till date, he still holds “the Ohio State single-game record for rebounds with 32.7.”

Howard passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 87.
