Born on May 19, 1985, in the Melbourne suburb of Carlton, Erin grew up in Adelaide with her parents Julie and Greg Phillips and her two older sisters, Rachel and Amy.
Erin’s connection to sports runs in her blood. Her father, Greg Phillips, is a renowned figure in Australian rules football. He enjoyed a successful career as a professional football defender, primarily with the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).
He not only served as the club’s captain for three years but also secured eight premierships during his time on the field. Greg Phillips’s contributions to the sport were further recognized when he was named to the club’s all-time Greatest Team in 2000.
