Charles Richard Moll, born in Pasadena in 1943, embarked on a journey that was far from a typical Hollywood trajectory. Early in life, he showed little inclination towards acting, opting to pursue studies in history and psychology at the University of California, Berkeley.

After college, he ventured into various job roles, including an intriguing stint as a deputy probation officer and even a brief foray into the world of ladies’ hosiery. However, he always felt he was in the wrong place, prompting him to ask the pivotal question: “What do you want to do?” This self-query led Moll to discover his true passion – acting.

With newfound determination, Richard Moll relocated to Los Angeles, where he embarked on his acting journey. He graced the stage as part of the Will Geer Theatre, showcasing his acting prowess with Shakespearean performances.

The role that made Richard Moll a household name was his portrayal of Aristotle Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon, the lovable bailiff on “Night Court.” His time on the show spanned from 1984 to 1992, endearing him to audiences and securing his place in the annals of television history.

Additionally, his contribution extended to voice acting in the DC Animated Universe, where he lent his voice to the iconic character Harvey Dent/Two-Face in “Batman: The Animated Series” and “The New Batman Adventures.”
