Felecia “Cookie” Edmunds, a devoted mother and dedicated gym teacher, has raised three sons who are now making a name for themselves in the National Football League (NFL). The couple got married in July 1994 and settled in Blairs, Virginia, where they started building their family.
Their first child, Ferrell Trey Edmunds III, was born in December 1994, and he was soon followed by FeDerius Terrell Edmunds in January 1997 and FeZahn Tremaine Edmunds in May 1998. Raising three boys close in age brought its share of challenges, but Cookie described the experience as excellent. She mentioned that despite their rambunctious nature, the boys were sweet, lovable, and eager to please their mother. All three brothers attended Dan River High School, where they excelled as high school athletes before pursuing their football careers at Virginia Tech. Trey, Terrell, and Tremaine all went on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Bills.

Trey began his professional football career by signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2017 before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018. Terrell and Tremaine both achieved remarkable success by being drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Terrell currently plays as a safety for the Tennessee Titans.
