It was a game that would be remembered in baseball history – a 15-inning no-hitter against the Albuquerque Dodgers, resulting in a 1-0 victory. What made this achievement even more astonishing was the incredible 193 pitches he threw to secure the win.

Over the years, his talent took him to different teams, including the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the California Angels.

His last appearance in the majors saw him face Lyman Bostock and managed to induce a line drive into a triple play. It was an extraordinary note to end his MLB journey on.

In recognition of his contributions to the game, Tom Walker received the honor of being elected to the Texas League Hall of Fame in July 2015.

Walker passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 74.
