Sam Quek, a former field hockey player and a popular television personality, was born on the 18th of October in 1988. Her birth took place at Mill Road Hospital in Liverpool.

She was welcomed into the world by her mother, Marilyn Quek who is of English descent, and her father, Albert Quek, who hails from Singapore with Chinese heritage.

The Quek family’s journey began in Liverpool, where Sam’s early memories were formed. They resided on Coniston Street in Liverpool, but when Sam was only a month old, they embarked on a new chapter by moving to the charming suburb of West Derby.

Sam’s educational journey started on the Wirral Peninsula as well. She attended Hillside Primary School for a year, where her thirst for knowledge began to take shape.

Sam Quek’s commitment to personal and academic growth led her to Leeds Metropolitan University. Here, she dedicated herself to the study of Sport & Exercise Science and emerged with a well-deserved BSc (Hons) degree, a testament to her hard work and determination.
