Said Nurmagomedov is a Russian and Afghan mixed martial artist who competes as a bantamweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was born on April 5, 1992. He has been a professional fighter since 2009 and has previously represented Absolute Championship Berkut and World Fighting Championship Akhmat.

He formerly held the AFC Bantamweight Championship. At World Ultimate Full Contact 15 in 2009, Said Nurmagomedov fought the unbeaten 4-0 Oscar Nave for the first time as a professional mixed martial artist. He used an armbar to win the first round of the fight.

After a three-year sabbatical, he made a comeback in 2012 at Vale Tudo 3 to take against Jolon Uulu Jayloobay, who was making his professional debut. First-round armbar by Nurmagomedov gave him the victory. At Liga Kavkaz – Battle in Khiv1, Nurmagomedov made a comeback in 2013 to greet another debutant, Ahmed Sarapov.
