Tove, Ebba Elsa Nilsson is a well-known Swedish composer and vocalist better known by her stage name Tove Lo. Because of her grandmother’s love of lynxes, she was given the stage name and nickname Tove Lo, which in Swedish means “lynx” and denotes the singular.

She started off creating songs and playing live onstage at various places as a member of the short-lived band “Tremblebee.” Before breaking up, the Math rock band independently published a few tracks.
Tove made the decision to focus on pop music and pursue a solo career. While residing in the shed she converted into her studio, she began writing, producing, and developing her debut album. She worked as a session singer at the time to supplement her income.
