Yet, behind the music and fame, his personal life was marked by complexity, including his fatherhood journey.

Brian Jones was the father of five children, each with a unique story. His relationships and experiences as a father reflect the turbulence of his own life and the era he lived in.

Jones’s first child, Barry David Corbett, was born to Valerie Corbett when she was just 17. Tragically, Brian had encouraged her to have an abortion. Barry was renamed Simon and put up for adoption shortly after birth, living a life unknown to his famous father.

Brian’s fleeting affair with Angeline resulted in the birth of a daughter named Belinda on August 4, 1960. This birth was kept a secret from Brian, as Angeline and her husband decided to raise the child together, far from the public eye.

Pat Andrew gave birth to Brian’s third child, Julian Mark Andrews, on October 22, 1961. While Brian initially embraced fatherhood, he eventually drifted from his responsibilities. Pat revealed in a 1965 TV interview that she had received no financial support from Brian.

Linda Lawrence is the mother of Brian’s fourth child, Julian Brian Lawrence, born on July 23, 1964. He was later renamed Julian Leitch and raised by Linda and singer Donovan, highlighting the complexity of Brian’s family relationships.

Dawn Molloy, an occasional girlfriend of Brian’s, became pregnant and gave birth to his fifth child on March 24, 1965. Brian and the Rolling Stones’ management paid her £700, a substantial sum at the time, to remain silent and agree not to disclose the child’s existence to the public.

Brian Jones’s journey as a father is marked by secrecy, complex relationships, and missed opportunities. It reflects not only the turbulent life he led but also the era of the 1960s, which saw a generation challenging traditional norms and boundaries
