The mother of five, who was born in 1979, was 14 years married to Chris Chase before their acrimonious divorce started in February 2015.

She was raised in Whangarei and initially intended to become a kindergarten teacher before developing a gym and exercise obsession. She competed professionally in bodybuilding once it took over her life, and she built a physique that was unmatched by most other women.

Her career was temporarily put on pause after having her first three children, but she quickly resumed competing and continued to have a highly successful career even after giving birth.
