A musician, composer, and actor from England, Noddy Holder was born on June 15, 1946. One of the most popular acts in the UK throughout the 1970s was the English rock band Slade, and he played rhythm guitar and lead vocals for them.

With bassist Jim Lea, who is renowned for his distinctive and powerful voice, Holder co-wrote the majority of Slade’s songs, such as “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” “Cum On Feel the Noize,” and “Merry Xmas Everybody.”

Following his departure from Slade in 1992, he expanded his career by working in radio and television, most notably appearing in the ITV comedy-drama series The Grimleys (1999–2001). In 1992, Holder quit Slade after 26 years to pursue a career outside of music, working frequently as a radio host, television personality, actor, and voice-over artist.

Jack Holder and Lilian Holder were Noddy Holder’s parents. His mother worked as a homemaker, and his father was a window cleaner. He also had a 1942-born older sister by the name of Patricia Holder.
He made a guest appearance as a presenter on Songs of Praise in December 2015, and on Christmas Day, he had a brief cameo appearance in Mrs. Brown’s Boys.
