Martn Maldonado is a Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher for the Houston Astros. He is Puerto Rican. For the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels, Kansas City Royals, and Chicago Cubs, he formerly played in Major League Baseball. In 2011, while playing for the Brewers, he made his debut in the main leagues.

Maldonado was chosen by the Angels in the 27th round of the 2004 MLB Draft. In 2017, Maldonado received a Fielding Bible Award and a Gold Glove Award. Maldonado played for the Class A South Atlantic League’s West Virginia Power in 2007 after signing a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, batting.223/.309/.288.
