Dutch Darts Star Toon Greebe passed away on October 16, 2023, after battling chronic leg infection that led to the amputation of his two legs.

Who Was Toon Greebe?
Toon Greebe was a professional darts player whose journey with darts began in 1997.
One of the highlights of his career came in 2010 when Greebe qualified for the PDC World Darts Championship through the European Order of Merit.

In May 2019, Greebe emerged victorious at the Poland Open. He faced off against Sebastian Steyer and claimed the title with a score of 6–3. Greebe’s triumph in Poland added to his growing list of achievements, endearing him to darts enthusiasts around the world.

However, life took a challenging turn for him in recent years. In 2017, he faced a severe health crisis that led to the amputation of his right foot.
Tragically, Greebe’s health struggles persisted, and in late 2022, he underwent a second leg amputation, this time losing the lower part of his left leg.
Toon Greebe may not have claimed major championship titles, but his legacy extends beyond trophies and titles.
