Cheika accepted an assistant coaching post with the Sydney Roosters Rugby League Team in the National Rugby League (NRL) after leaving Australian Rugby. Prior to the 2020 Tri Nations Series, the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) announced in September 2020 that Cheika has joined the team as an advisor. Cheika and his wife Stephanie have four kids: Sy (11 years old), the twins Mattias and Lucia (10 years old), and Carlos (7 years old). From 2010 to 2012, Cheika served as the club’s director of rugby. It was said that his tenure at Stade Français was less fruitful than at other clubs. His life became challenging due to disputes off the field and subpar performance on the field, which led to his dismissal.
