American professional basketball player Samuel Thomas Dekker (born May 6, 1994) plays for the London Lions of the British Basketball League (BBL). Dekker was chosen by the Houston Rockets on June 25, 2015, with the 18th overall choice in the 2015 NBA Draft. He signed his rookie scale contract with the Rockets on July 7, but a back issue caused him to miss the whole NBA Summer League in 2015.

Although he played in all eight of the Rockets’ preseason games, he only saw action in three of the team’s opening 11 regular-season contests. He underwent back surgery on November 18, 2015, and was consequently out for three months. He was sent a rehab assignment to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ D-League club, on February 19, 2016.
