American basketball player Sam Dekker was born on May 6, 1994. Sam Dekker took up basketball at a young age, following in the basketball-playing footsteps of his father and older sister.He attended Sheboygan Lutheran High School, where he distinguished himself as a player and guided his squad to the state championship in his senior year.

Sam Dekker’s career as a professional basketball player began in 2015 as the Houston Rockets selected him in the first round of the NBA Draft. Prior to being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017, he spent two seasons playing for the Rockets.He spent one season with the Clippers before being moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018, where he played for one season before being dealt to the Washington Wizards in

Basketball was coached at Sheboygan Lutheran High School by Sam Dekker’s father, Todd. Following his senior year, Dekker won the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year award. In addition, he received the Mr. Basketball title from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association, the AP first team all-state honor, and the Parade All-American 2012 honor.
