Two times Black Entertainment Television Awards winner, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has received ten nominations at the 3Music awards 2021 edition.

The African rap superstar is the reigning Artiste of the Year of the 3Music Awards after he emerged the winner of 2020 edition. Sarkodie is the most decorated African rapper and most awarded artiste in Ghana. His awards include the most prestigious, BET African Act and BET Hip Hop International Flow Act.
Sarkodie won five awards at the 3Music Awards 2020 edition. He won the the Male act of the year, Best collaboration of the year with saara, Hiplife/hiphhop act of the year, Best rap performance with who da man, and Fan army of the year – sarknation.

This year, he has received ten nominations which means he will be seeking to defend the five he won last year and add more to it this year. He has been nominated for Artiste of the year, Song of the year, Album of the year, Rapper of the year, HipLife song of the year, Digital Act of the year, Fan Army of the year, Performer of the year, Collaboration of the year, and Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year.
