Baby Position

The ideal position for birth is the head down and the baby’s back towards your stomach, but there’s still plenty of time for the baby to turn if they are still in the breech position.

Baby Weight

At 31 weeks pregnant, the baby is as big as bunch asparagus. Baby is about 6.2 inches long and weighs about 3.3 pounds. The baby is probably crowding your lungs, which is why you might find yourself winded on a normal walk up the stairs.

Pressure

The extra weight of pregnancy often becomes more noticeable in the second trimester. As pregnancy progresses, the uterus puts more and more pressure on the lower body. As the pelvic floor weakens, this pressure can cause a feeling of fullness in the vagina or generalised pain and pressure in the hips and pelvis.
