The characteristic of every key election is the predictions of outcomes and winners for elections yet to be conducted.
Most often, predictions are either from the academicians who from data gathered have arrived at a conclusion or from spiritualists who claim the outcomes of an incoming election have been revealed to them by a supreme being. Situations surrounding Ghana’s pending 2020 general elections is no different as academicians and spiritualists alike have taken turns to make predictions and prophecies on the outcome of the elections. This article would focus on prophecies on the 2020 general elections.
1. John Mahama Would Have A Flawless Victory- Kwabena Owusu Agyei.
In July 2020, a pastor identified as Kwabena Owusu Agyei but popularly known as “weed Pastor” prophecies a landslide victory for John Dramani Mahama. According to the pastor, God had revealed to him the intentions of President Nana Addo and the EC to rig the elections. Based on that, he pronounced death on anyone with the intention of rigging the elections for Nana Addo.
2. Election 2020 would go for a run-off – Islamic Cleric, Mallam Shamuna Ustaz Jibiril
A famous Islamic Cleric, Mallam Shamuna Ustaz Jibril popularly known for predicting victories for Buhari, Nana Addo, and Donald Trump in their 2016 elections has predicted that Ghana’s 2020 general elections would go on a run-off. According to him, the possibility of runoff or re-run in the 2020 presidential elections of Ghana is 99.005% and above but not equal to 100% precisely.
4. A Victory for Nana Addo- Owusu Bempah
Popular Ghanaian preacher and televangelist, Prophet Owusu Bempah has on multiple occasions and on different media encounters predicted a win for President Nana Addo and the New Patriotic Party, however, he added that, although the NPP would win, it would not be an easy victory.
4. Mahama Would Win Shockingly- T. B Joshua
The leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T. B Joshua has predicted an overwhelming victory for ex-president John Dramani Mahama. According to him, the shocking victory of John Mahama would result in the death of two NPP bigwigs.
